Getting anxious to get back to work on the Tiny Casita. For now, I took her for a spin around the block just for fun. Next week I'll take her down to the landscaping supply place and have her weighed. The trailer came in at 1680 pounds, so I'm estimating the new weight with completed exterior is about 3000, which will allow about 2000 more pounds for the interior, appliances and all.
Back view: Still a couple exterior wood panels to install but first I'm waiting to see how they hold up in the intense Colorado sun. If they start falling apart I'll look for another siding material. So far so good.

I love this blog. I just came upon it through the tiny house blog and sat and read every word from the beginning. Can't wait for the next post! Can you tell me how tall the house is? I'm in VA and I think the max trailer height without having to hire oversize load crew is 13'6".

Hi Jen. Thank you for your comment, and I'm happy to hear you like the Tiny Casita build.
Thanks to the Tiny House Blog I've had a couple thousand people check out my blog in just one day!
I built the house within regulations for height and width. Its slightly more than 8' wide, and even though it looks taller, it's just 12.5 at the tallest point. My biggest concern now is weight. Trying to keep the whole thing under 5,000 pounds, which I have the feeling I'm getting really close to.
Cheers,
Greg
